Charleston, our beautiful home

Since about 5 months we have been living i Charleston or to be more correct, Mount Pleasant. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that we are so lucky to be able to live in such a beautiful place. But we do, so we must have been doing something right in life 🙂

I have not taken that much photos so far unfortunately, but I have some at least.

This is the Arthur Revenel Jr Bridge, between Charleston Downtown & Mount Pleasant

This is from Awendaw Green, an outdoor musik event place. A really great place!

This is just outside our house in our pond. There are often 10-15 turtles laying there in the sun.

This is a Anhinga (ormhalsfågel)

This snake, a Black Racer, was lying in the bushes just outside our door for about 2 days. (It’s not dangerous)

This is a Great White Heron, very common here. Specially around our golf course.

This is the Great Blue Heron

Just 5 minutes (by car) from our house, we have this beautiful beach, Isle of Palms.

This cutie is a Barn Swallow

This is the Angle Oak, estimated to be around 500 years old

Here are some pictures from Magnolia Plantation

and this is female Wood Ducks

There are many alligators there……

Many of the trees around Charleston are dressed in Spanish Moss.

It’s not really moss but instead a flowering plant which grows hanging from tree branches in full sun through partial shade
